We are a little behind on the date of the new online store, it should be up and live by October 14th at the latest, although product wise you will not see to much going on as we are still working hard at getting everything live. Because of the late release of the website we have only started adding products in the last couple of weeks we are also slaving away to get ready for the upcoming Ski and Snowboard show in Toronto. If you have been before we hope you come back and for those of you who haven't or have no idea what it is I will explain below:

The show runs from October 14th-17th at the Toronto Convention Center in the better living building. Entry costs $17.00 but the amount of money you save while at the show is well worth the entry fee.

We are going to be running a very fun theme this year that we can't share with you guys just yet, but come visit out booth and see what we are doing. Who knows, maybe we have that snowboard set up you were dying to have at an amazing price!

Hey Guys,

We had an awesome tent sale this year, I just wanted to thank everybody who came out; we are glad you came! We also wanted to thank all of the reps who came out and poured sweat with us in the tent, very much appreciated.

Blacklock Longboards ( The Inside Scoop)

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to do a bit of a profile on a local company called Blacklock longboards, I will give you some insight into how the company operates and why these boards are so freaking cool. They are constructed and designed by a man named: Paul Britman in his shop about an hour outside of London. Almost all the wood has been harvested from farms within the family, some of the walnut wood was cut by his grandfather over 50 years ago. Any of the scraps he uses from construction of the decks he uses in future boards so all wood is recycled essentially, so for all of you green enthusiasts out there these are your boards!

He began making decks for himself and a friend over 6 years ago, Then some people at U of Guelph noticed and ask questions. Eventually he had covered his bases, meaning every one he knew had grabbed one for one reason or another. Paul has only been marketing his company since December 2010 time keeping it between friends and family, he is starting to gain popularity in here as of a few months ago and we are the only shop in London to carry this brand.

The decks are made of three woods Walnut (dark brown), Cherry (red) and oak (light colored) he has added other woods like sumac (green). There is no warranty like other decks because these are hand crafted. He make them in his spare time during the winter time. Because he is a farmer during the other seasons of the year. The name "Blacklock" comes from the war of 1812 as one of the forts during that time was actually on his farm, the general who manned that fort was "General Major Blacklock".

Generally what we are getting at is that these boards are awesome, he puts the time in to these boards to get them constructed, so we think you should take the time to come in here and check them out. The bigger boards we have in stock right now retail at $159.99.

Jokes On Duncan

So this past sunday me Corey Shuker his girlfriend jo, Duncan and i took a little road trip to hit up windsor. We tried filming a little gap for a bit with no success. So we then went to 4 flat 3 to film and during warm ups on an ollie that duncan went to kick away was the result of one of the worst lens hits ive ever had. It was sp bad at first that you can literally see the huge scratch in the top left side of the shot and you can also tell by the expression on my face after the hit occurs. But by the power of the gods somehow i took it to my bag and sprayed some lens cleaner on my month old mk1 lol and when i wiped it down the scratch was completely gone.

The best part of it all is Duncan is so upset that he has his head down and is just bumming hard. after we said ''look what you did'' and he realizes the scratch is gone i've never seen anyone so happy yet again hahaha sorry buddy. But this is to show that this is what happens when you film this kind of stuff there is no reason to blame anybody cause when your filming blanks of wood that we just flip around like crazy there is a good chance you camera can be sacrificed. But here it is enjoy.

We had a great turnout for the boardshop game of skate on Saturday, lots of friends of the shop showed up to compete for first, second and third in 2 age divisions. Every time we have one of these events the level of trick difficulty in the final rounds always increases. It's amazing to see those kids who came out to watch this event a few years back and are now the ones taking away first and second place. As you know Go Skateboarding Day is getting closer and I'm sure all of you are wondering what event we have planned for this year. In the past we have done games of skate and king of the road. This year we are going to mix things up a bit and just simply have a day to enjoy skateboarding for what it is -FUN.

So join us at Victoria Park on June 21st and come have fun. There will be prizes from Alien Workshop, Habitat and The Boardshop. This is not a contest by any means but a gathering to appreciate the sport we all love. The Details will be posted below:

So for the past little while we have been trying to think of effective ways of getting new information to the world (AKA YOU GUYS). So we are going to give this blog thing a try; so check back as often as you can.
